PM Modi Development Projects 2025: Worth Over ₹96,000 Crore in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a series of mega development projects totaling more than ₹96,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, reinforcing the government’s commitment to infrastructure growth, connectivity, and national security.


₹47,573 Crore Projects Launched in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister visited Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 15 development projects worth over ₹47,573 crore. He also flagged off the Kanpur Metro’s new corridor between Chunniganj and Nayaganj, enhancing the city’s urban mobility and infrastructure.


While addressing a large public gathering, PM Modi referenced Operation Sindoor, stating that the world had witnessed the pain and fury of India’s daughters through the operation. He declared that India had completely destroyed several terror hubs in Pakistan, and warned that Operation Sindoor is not over yet. He stressed that Pakistan’s state and non-state actors can no longer play their old games, as India will respond decisively.


The Prime Minister praised the valour of the Indian Armed Forces, noting that their courage compelled Pakistan to plead for a ceasefire.


₹48,520 Crore Development Boost for Bihar

Earlier in the day, PM Modi visited Karakat in Bihar, where he inaugurated, laid the foundation stone, and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth over ₹48,520 crore.


Addressing the gathering, he reaffirmed that the double-engine government—the synergy between the Centre and state—is consistently working toward the comprehensive development of Bihar.


Key infrastructure projects inaugurated include:

  • Four-Lane Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section of NH-22, worth approximately ₹5,500 crore, aimed at improving connectivity between Patna and the heritage city of Gaya.

  • A part of the Four-Lane Elevated Highway in Gopalganj Town on NH-27, valued at over ₹249 crore.

  • The third rail line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, a vital rail infrastructure upgrade worth more than ₹1,330 crore.


Nation-Building Through Infrastructure and Security

With these landmark announcements, PM Modi reinforced the government’s dual focus on robust national infrastructure and a strong, secure India. From transformative development projects to a resolute stance on national security, the day’s events underscored the government's commitment to building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
