SAIL opens 1st overseas office in Dubai

In a significant stride toward global expansion, the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)—one of India’s largest steel producers with an annual crude steel capacity exceeding 20 million tonnes—has inaugurated its Representative Office in Dubai on 2nd July 2025. This office marks SAIL’s first international presence in the Middle East, a region of growing economic and strategic importance.
This new office in Dubai—a global financial and logistics hub strategically located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe—will act as a gateway to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, providing SAIL with a platform to boost steel exports, strengthen industry linkages, and deepen India-UAE trade ties. The MENA region, known for its dynamic construction and infrastructure development, represents an emerging market with significant demand for steel. Dubai’s investor-friendly environment and its well-established trade networks further make it an ideal launchpad for Indian companies aiming to scale internationally.
