In a major move to curb vehicular pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has postponed the fuel ban on overage vehicles in Delhi-NCR to November 1, 2025. This policy will use ANPR technology to prevent refuelling of older diesel and petrol vehicles, but concerns over readiness, infrastructure, and fairness have prompted a revised timeline for smoother, more effective enforcement.
