5th Khelo India University Games 2025 to Be Held Across 7 Cities in Rajasthan from November 24

Over 5,000 Student Athletes to Compete in 23 Sports Across Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and More

The 5th edition of the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2025 will take place across seven major cities in Rajasthan from November 24.The host cities include Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Bharatpur, turning the state into a vibrant sporting hub for nearly two weeks.

The 12-day multi-sport event will witness participation from over 5,000 university athletes representing institutions from across India. The event will feature 23 medal sports and one demonstration sport – Kho-Kho.

Khelo India University Games 2025: Promoting Sports and National Unity

Announcing the event, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, said that the Rajasthan edition of KIUG reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating a strong sports culture in India.

“The Khelo India initiative has built a robust ecosystem that fosters participation, talent development, and excellence. The University Games in Rajasthan will inspire thousands of students to pursue sports alongside academics and strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,”said Dr. Mandaviya.

List of Sports at KIUG 2025

The Khelo India University Games 2025 will feature the following sports:

• Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Fencing, Football, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Mallakhamb, Rugby, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Yogasana, Cycling, Beach Volleyball, Canoeing and Kayaking

Kho-Kho will be showcased as a demonstration sport this year.

Notably, Beach Volleyball, Canoeing & Kayaking, and Cycling are being introduced to the KIUG programme for the first time, expanding the range of sporting disciplines.
