Guwahati, Assam: India national cricket team delivered a dominant all-round performance to register a crushing eight-wicket victory over the New Zealand national cricket team in the third T20 International at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati, on Tuesday night. With this emphatic win, India have taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

Abhishek Sharma’s Blitz Powers India Chase

Chasing a modest target of 154, India made a mockery of the run chase, reaching 155 for 2 in just 10 overs.Opener Abhishek Sharma was the star of the show, smashing an unbeaten 68 off just 20 balls in a breathtaking display of power-hitting.

Abhishek etched his name into the record books by scoring the second-fastest T20 International half-century by an Indian, reaching the milestone in 14 balls. Only Yuvraj Singh, who achieved the feat in 12 balls against England in 2007, has gone faster among Indians.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav provided perfect support, remaining unbeaten on 57 off 26 deliveries, as the hosts finished the chase with a staggering 10 overs to spare.

New Zealand Restricted to 153

Earlier, after being put into bat, New Zealand were held to 153 for 9 in their 20 overs.Middle-order batter Glenn Phillips top-scored for the visitors with 48 off 40 balls, but regular wickets prevented the Black Caps from building momentum.

India’s bowling attack was led by Jasprit Bumrah, who produced a superb spell of 3 for 17, earning him the Player of the Match award.Hardik Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi chipped in with two wickets each.
