Govt authorises Aadhaar authentication for IBPS exams

In a significant move aimed at enhancing the transparency and security of recruitment, the Government of India has authorised the use of Aadhaar authentication for candidate verification in examinations conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). This authorisation was formally announced through a notification issued by the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance.

Under this new provision, IBPS is permitted to voluntarily use Aadhaar-based authentication during its recruitment and examination processes.
