Lok Samvardhan Parv at Raj Ghat in New Delhi

Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju today inaugurated the Lok Samvardhan Parv at Raj Ghat in New Delhi, marking the beginning of a vibrant celebration of traditional artistry and government initiatives aimed at uplifting minority communities. The event, which will continue until Sunday, serves as a platform to showcase key government schemes, programmes, and achievements under the inclusive vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Rijiju highlighted the immense talent of village artisans and emphasized the importance of providing them with a market platform. He noted that the event not only brings visibility to their handmade crafts but also helps facilitate the mobility and exchange of products across different states, promoting cross-cultural appreciation and economic opportunity.

A key feature of the event is an extensive exhibition-cum-sale of traditional arts and handicrafts, representing the diverse cultural heritage of India. Visitors can explore and purchase items such as Laakh Bangles, Wooden Paintings, Blue Pottery, Embroidery, Banarasi Brocade, Phulkari, and Leather Crafts, among others. The exhibition aims to support economic empowerment by connecting artisans directly with consumers and encouraging the revival of age-old crafts.

In addition to the crafts showcase, the event also features live cultural performances by folk artists, artisans, and culinary experts from across the country, adding to the festive atmosphere. Through this initiative, the government reiterates its commitment to empowering minority communities and preserving the rich cultural legacy of India.
